Primary Purpose of the job

Creating and maintaining a positive patient experience at QuikMed. Involved in both clinical and administrative areas including assisting physicians with patient care and handling clerical, environmental and organizational tasks. Cares for patients under the direction of the Clinical Operations Manager, Advanced Practitioners, Medical Director, and in compliance with QuikMed's philosophy as well as standards of practice and regulations of government agencies.

Required Education

1. Required education: High school graduate/GED/vocational training equivalency.

2. Required license/certification:
a. Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
b. Valid state/government issued identification.
c. Medical Assistant education in progress or certification OR
o May be substituted for 6 months with direct patient care in a clinical setting in emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care, or an ambulatory care setting as a Medical Assistant, certified Emergency Medical Technician, or Paramedic.

Desired Education

a. Current/Active and Unencumbered license/certification as a Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, American Board of Radiology, or Paramedic.
b. Licensed Practical Nurse.
c. Nurse education in progress with completion of the first year/fundamentals of nursing, or equivalent, of an accredited nursing school.

Required Experience

5+ years direct patient care in a clinical setting in emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care, or an ambulatory care setting as a Medical Assistant, certified Emergency Medical Technician, or Paramedic. With current experience required in Electrocardiogram (EKG), vital signs, venipuncture, capillary, and injections.

Desired Experience

5+ years with direct patient care in a clinical setting in emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care, or an ambulatory care setting that includes performing x-ray and radiology testing as a Medical Assistant, EMT, or Paramedic.
