Primary Purpose of Job: Produce and maintain building fixture/equipment plans, details, and presentation exhibits as directed by the Supervisor in support of Design staff for development and construction. Function as a technical resource for DDS1 and DDS2 positions.

 

Major Functions:

Create and Maintain drawings and/or renderings as determined by the company and industry standards. 50%

    1. Vault use/maintenance – maintain established standards when working in Vault File Management system.
    2. Partner with Design Lead on projects to create a collaborative environment.
    3. Professional Quality/Detail output.
    4. Technical resource for DDS1 and DDS2 positions.
    5. Provides peer reviews for drawings.

 

Project Exposure 15%

    1. Gain project exposure through site visits and observation.
    2. Engage in project meetings associated with current assigned projects.

 

Manage Company Standards and best practices 15%

    1. Works with Concept Prototyping System Manager and DPM to develop and maintain CAD standards.
    2. Reviews work processes to improve efficiencies and adherence to standards.
    3. Creates implementation of processes developed by CAD systems position.

 

Training 10%

    1. Technical resource for DDS1 and DDS2 position. Provide general and 1/1 training.
    1. Partner with Concept Prototyping System Manager position to keep team trained on current trends and technologies.
    1. Keep Software documentation and company standards up to date with current processes and procedures.

 

Effectively use CAD equipment. 5%

    1. Plotter – Technical resource in the proper use and functionality of printer and consumables.

 

Review, prioritize, and record daily workload assignments. 5%

Inside the Company: Real Estate, Engineering and Design, Purchasing, Facility Support, Construction, Marketing, Sales, I.T., PMO, Admin Services, and Operations       

Outside the Company: Architectural and Engineering Consultants, Equipment and Fixture Manufacturers

 

Position Specifications

Required education: Associate degree in drafting technology, or equivalent QuikTrip experience. Associate degree in drafting technology, or equivalent QuikTrip experience. Minimum four years drafting experience in related field(s). High level knowledge in 3D Studio Max, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and AutoCAD systems & related enhancement software. Self-motivating, detail oriented, effective communication, time management, training, and interpersonal skills.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, and PDF Reviewers such as Adobe or Bluebeam.  Critical thinking and problem solving skills.

 

Desired education: Architectural or Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience. Minimum five years’ experience in architectural, equipment, and fixture related drafting and design.  Working knowledge of site improvement plans, building plan development, and construction of commercial projects. High level proficiency in current AutoCad, 3D Studio Max, Revit, Adobe Photoshop, AutoDesk Vault Collaboration software, and related enhancement software programs.  Effectively manage high production plotters, printers, and scanners, and load media, ink, and toner for each.

 

Additional criteria: Employee must sign a Proprietary Information Agreement on an annual basis.

 

Starting Salary: $35.76-$38.91 per hour
