QuikTrip Marketing is looking for a seasoned business analyst to help drive business decisions for the marketing and merchandising departments. The right candidate has experience building dashboards, diving deep into datasets to uncover trends and insights, will challenge and educate peers on using data in decision making, and can help leaders forecast and plan the business. Primary Purpose:
The Sales and Marketing Analyst will be responsible for developing, maintaining and analyzing customer and sales data in order to drive the optimization of our inside sales and increase Customer Lifetime Value (CLV). Working in a matrix environment, this role will be creating both the strategy and approach of how we should be looking at the data, as well as working with both the Sales and Marketing departments to help drive goal and KPI setting, annual strategic learning agendas and go-to-market strategies. This key role will evaluate promotions, product launches, campaigns, and regional/local market strategies and provide recommendations based on data modeling to support decision making in store layout, new product launches, and regional/national planning.
Major Functions:
Strategic Analysis of Sales/Marketing Campaigns, Projects, Promotions and Initiatives -45%

- Analyze Point of Sale (POS), category sales, and operational data to uncover opportunities to improve product mix, pricing strategies and improved top line sales or total margin dollar improvement.
- Evaluate promotional opportunities that are financially viable for QuikTrip. Work cross-functionally with sales and marketing to recommend pricing and promotion tests for evaluation and then run models for financial analysis of rollout of promotional activity.
- Segment customers and analyze behavioral trends across regions and store formats. Work closely with Loyalty marketing and Data Science to inform
- Evaluate promotions, limited time offers, and loyalty programs for effectiveness and return on investment.
- Work with suppliers and agency partners to leverage their external data and tools to collaborate for better decision making. Proactively connect with agency and supplier partners for consumer trends and insights and share with appropriate Sales and Marketing teams.
- Provide recommendations based on data modeling to support decision making in store layout, new product launches, and regional/national planning
- Identify and evaluate data, research, and additional resources needed to increase decision making ability.

- Develop dashboards and tools to monitor Sales KPIs such as sales performance by category, market basket analysis, and test results.
- Update and continuously improve the reporting and analysis of Digital Platforms, KPIs and Loyalty program.
- Together with Marketing leaders and agency partners, build Marketing KPIs and dashboards to standardize brand health, competitive trackers, and key marketing ROI metrics for goal setting and campaign optimization.
- Work with department leaders to prioritize ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed by business to include: situational analysis, competitive analysis, region or store or category turn-around strategy, or consumer group analysis.
Facilitate data and reporting stewardship to ensure data, research, and analytics are used consistently, accurately, and effectively throughout the organization, leading to confident decisions based on trusted tools, information, and intelligence. Work with data engineering and data science to ensure quality and recency of data. 10%
Assist Sales and Marketing teams in Annual Budgeting process. 10%
Assist and participate in the innovation, development, testing, implementation, and support of new data science, decision-support tools and technologies. 5%

Reports to: Director of Marketing, with indirect matrix reporting to Director of Sales
Indirectly supervises: Data analyst teams at outside agency partners

Position Specifications

Required education: College degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Research, or a related discipline or relevant QuikTrip experience.
Required experience: 5-7 years’ experience in marketing, research and analysis, related quantitative field, or comparable QuikTrip experience.
Desired experience: 7+ years’ experience in marketing, research and analysis, related quantitative field, or comparable QuikTrip experience.
Required skills: Excellent verbal and written communications; ability to multi-task; critical thinking; ability to provide effective leadership; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to graphically express data and insights for executive audiences. Experience using a third-party analytics environment; experience creating tests and evaluating testing scenarios; project management experience.
Additional Criteria: Travel may be required, primarily to visit QT facilities outside of Tulsa. This position requires the employee to be available by phone and/or email and/or have access to e-mail and QT network while out of the office.
Starting Salary: $101,700-$127,100
